1994 We pioneered a new process utilizing high volume filtration and activated carbon absorption for
pipeline hydro-test de-watering operations for Trans Canada Pipe Lines Ltd. eliminating the need for "borrow-pits" to contain the used hydro-test water.
1995 We developed a water re-cycling system for the automotive industry that saves the use of 500,000 gallons per year of potable water.
1998 We introduced high performance filters and
ultraviolet disinfection to commercial and public swimming pools, eliminating millions of gallons of potable water use for sand filter backwashing and the reduction of toxic chlorinous trihalomethane in the air near the pools.
2000 We designed and built the first ultraviolet disinfection system ever for
use in a marine mammal environment. The water quality was dramatically improved,
worker exposure to toxic chlorine disinfectant was eliminated and the quality of
life for the resident dolphins was significantly improved. This application
received the Award for Innovative Excellence from the International Marine
Animal Trainers Association (IMATA).
